Frank Lloyd Wright American, 1867-1959

Frank Lloyd Wright was born in Richland Center, Wisconsin in 1867. He was an American architect, interior designer, writer and educator who designed more than thousand projects, with more than five-hundred of them completed. Wright promoted organic architecture, was a leader of the Prairie School movement of architecture and developed the concept of the Usonian home. His work includes original and innovative examples of many different building types, including offices, churches, schools, skyscrapers, hotels, and museums. He is widely regarded as the most significant American architect of all time, and many of his building are world renowned masterpieces of 20th century architecture.
