Pedro E. Guerrero American, 1973-2012
Pedro E. Guerrero is best known for his photographic documentation of American architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. Growing up in Arizona, Guerrero began his photographic career in 1939, at age 22 when Wright retained him to document his buildings and his Taliesin Fellowship of apprentice architects. Over a span of 20 years, Guerrero recorded Wright and his work becoming the chief visual interpreter for the masterful architect. Additionally Guerrero worked for the major architecture and home magazines in the 1940s to 1970s. His work has been featured in books, magazines, documentary films and exhibited in the U.S. and Europe. This includes the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Guggenheim Museum. He is the author of three books, Picturing Wright, An Album from Frank Lloyd Wright's Photographer (1994), Calder at Home (2000) and Pedro E. Guerrero: A Photographer's Journey (2007).
